Hij miste het seizoensafsluitende feestje van zijn club, kreeg klappen in een nachtclub en bekogelde in Italië journalisten met waterballonnen. Terwijl zijn ploeggenoten maandag het winnen van de FA Cup vierden met een parade door de stad, zat Balotelli in Milaan. Hij claimt daar maar kort geweest te zijn, i.v.m. zijn eigen veiligheid, en niks met de maffia nog het huidige omkoopschandaal te maken te hebben.
